Sam Crain is one of our favorite breakfast regulars. He always has a wry word for everyone. Unfortunately, he won't be in to the Cafe for a few weeks while he's being treated for a serious illness out of town. We know that his absence will be harder on him than on us, so we put together this journal to remind him of what's gong on at home. It's about his alter ego, an old pair of running shoes. The shoes are still sore at him for dragging them through an ultra-marathon in the Colorado desert this summer.
